Sam is a multi-award-winning producer, director & editor with nearly a decade of experience in video production. A Computer Science background underpins his specialisation in explainer content for the Tech and AI Safety space — transforming complex ideas into clear, engaging stories.
Recent work includes the on-screen graphics for the AI 2027 video on 80,000 Hours' AI in Context channel (10M+ views) and producing and presenting a four-video AI safety series funded by the Future of Life Institute.
Earlier work spans clients including GlaxoSmithKline, Shell, The Economist, UCL and Imperial College, alongside an internationally-distributed independent documentary, The Vanishing Strings of the Andes, which screened at 22 film festivals and won three awards for Best Short Documentary.
Sam runs his work through Watkins Films Ltd from the south of England.
